Dani has been a counselor since 2005.Originally beginning her career in the Northern Nevada prison system,
Dani developed an interest in forensic counseling and addictions. When she left the prison, she moved on into residential treatment for drug and alcohol abuse, and began working with the transient and homeless population of Northern Nevada as a contract provider and grant operator. Dani provided crisis services through the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center Civil Protective Custody unit in the booking area of the jail.
During this 5 year period, Dani worked closely with various criminal justice clients including federal pre and post trial clients, parole and probation clients, gambling, drug, and alcohol addiction clients, and other court related entities in Northern Nevada.
This eventually led to the operation of the Gambling Addiction program in Fallon, NV from 2011 until 2015 when Dani opened her own private practice for mental health and addictions in Reno, NV in her last year of her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. After graduation, Dani began her internship as a Clinical Professional Counselor and is currently operating her private practice working with addictions, and mental health clients from all walks of life.
Dani upgraded her Certification for Alcohol and Drug counseling to a Licensed Clinical Alcohol and Drug Counselor in 2018. In 2019, Dani completed her internship and became a fully Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. She continues to do her work with the Reno Municipal Court Fresh Start Drug Court Program where we have a 100% success rate for the past two graduating classes.
